Mom who survived Mao’s China calls critical race theory America’s Cultural Revolution
“She (the Mom) believes the United States is experiencing a culture war. Cultural Marxism and American ideals, there is no common ground.”
You have heard such testimony from a York citizen who survived similar childhood experiences in the Czech Republic (then Czechoslovakia under Communism).
Instruction based on CRT, teaching a racial binary - “people of color”, the oppressed, versus white people , the oppressors - is a classical Marxian/Maoist construct. The Proclamation, and what we have heard from the School about its “diversity programs”, follow such a revolutionary pattern. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.
The Proclamation relies heavily on one organization, Black Lives Matter, and requests the School Committee to engage with BLM. The Proclamation promotes, without supporting evidence, conclusions about bigotry, white privilege, and white supremacy - relying on BLM. Thus, we find an alleged white oppressor class that “has not done justice to (the oppressed) ‘people of color’”. The traditional school curricula has been “whitewashed” according to the Selectmen.
Marx chose to created conflict between economic classes, the investors who contributed capital (the Bourgeois) versus the workers (the Proletariate), to promote class conflict. BLM, of course, was founded by self-proclaimed (publicly) trained Marxists.
Mao used the same model but relied on the huge population of poor peasantry in China to be the oppressed for his Class Conflict Theory. The rest of “the establishment” were the oppressors. American Communists realized long ago that class conflict could best be promoted along racial lines due to our history of slavery. That is an historical fact. The strategy persists even today with organizations like BLM despite the remarkable achievements of black people since passage of civil right legislation in the 1960’s - more than 1/2 century ago.
Now we witness the success of Marxian/Maoist tactics in the US - and even in York. Create divisions among Americans instead of promoting unity - by teaching binary racism. That teaching is incorrect, even silly, on biological, anthropological, and sociological grounds. But it is uncritically accepted by many.
Current events lead to an unfortunate question. “Are our leaders philosophically Marxist, or are they simply victims of modern day wokeism?” Unfortunately, it doesn’t make much difference for York’s kids.
